WORKPLACE LEARNING CONNECTION THANKS BUSINESS PARTNERS

PRESS RELEASE:

Time and time again Workplace Learning Connection hears from our economic development groups about the importance of future workforce development and the creation of a pipeline. Through the collaborative efforts of Washington County business partners, WLC is proud to have served 1675 students to date in Washington County through career exploration events, job shadows and internships this year. These experiences support the development and retention of our shared future workforce!

Washington County Hospital and Clinics, a WLC business partner since 2011, has been an active supporter of all WLC programming; Worksite tours, Career Fairs, Mock Interviews, Job Shadows, Internships, Financial Literacy Fair, Tools of the Trade and Interactive Career Speaker Days. “Partnering with WLC has been an incredibly rewarding experience for WCHC and me personally. With a small amount of effort, we’re able to positively affect our youth which will benefit our community for years to come. WCHC began partnering with the Workplace Learning Connection program four years ago and will continue to support this program as it is a great tool for the youth of today to learn more about how the skills they learn today are applicable to their future employment and the immense career opportunities available to them.”  Tracy Ousey, Human Resource Director Washington County Hospital & Clinics

WCHC is just one example of the many Washington County WLC business partners who contribute to the success of their company, community and future workforce through participation in WLC programming! WLC believes in a vibrant community with a workforce ready for a changing world and we support the next generation as they navigate and connect to our shared future. THANK YOU WLC business partners for making a difference! We cannot do this important work of connection without your help!
